Following the introduction of Level 3 COVID-19 restrictions in Donegal, the Football Association of Ireland announced the cessation of all Adult Amateur and Underage football matches in Donegal from midnight tonight with the exception of elite football – namely the SSE Airtricity League and all five underage National Leagues.
Following this directive all FAI Registered Referees must not referee any Adult Amateur or Underage games in Donegal. Any match official resident in Donegal but operating in an Adult Amateur or Underage league outside of the county is not permitted to travel outside Donegal for any football activity.
Referees can continue to train outdoors but must limit numbers to no more than fifteen persons in line with government guidelines.
