Today will be an emotional day for me as I get to put this jacket on for the last time. I am really looking forward to today’s meeting where I can pass the baton onto our new president, Mr William Long, albeit online. Willie is going to make a fine president, as he is a hardworking, honest man who has dedicated his life to refereeing & the ISRS.
To serve as the president of society for the past six years has been one of the greatest honours of my life. It has been tough going at times but because of the support I have gotten from all the membership, I was able to keep on going, even in the darkest of days. I believe that I leave behind a well organised, unified professional organisation, that can only go from strength to strength.
So from the bottom of my heart, I just want to say a big thank you to you all for bestowing onto me one of the greatest honours of my life & for all the support I have gotten throughout the years. I tried my best & now as I depart the stage I want to wish Willie & his new officer board all the best for the future.
Kind regards
Paul
