The Football Association of Ireland has today launched a pilot edition of a new FAI Grassroots eMag which has been circulated to all FAI affiliates.

The eMag has been produced for the FAI by football writer Eamon Scott and a team of contributors as football returns across the country.

Welcoming the first edition, FAI President Gerry McAnaney said: “We are delighted to see our Grassroots players and clubs back in action and this eMag is designed to celebrate their return to football.

“We are keen to communicate directly with our Grassroots game and this pilot publication offers us a direct line to all involved. It is something we can develop and grow in the coming months as football edges closer to a return to normality.”

FAI Head of Grassroots Ger McDermott said: “Communication with our Grassroots affiliates is vital for the Association and this initiative offers us an opportunity to speak directly to our  players, officials, volunteers and to our football community in every corner of Ireland.

“It will also allow us the opportunity to share their stories with all our stakeholders in a new and innovative fashion and I encourage all our Leagues and clubs to welcome this addition to our communication channels and to engage with it as we enjoy the Return to Play, the Return to Training and the Return to Watch under the  new Government guidelines and FAI Protocols.”
